In-Person Lecture at UTS
The following day, Vern joined academics from UTS, UNSW, and the University of Sydney at the iconic Dr Chau Chak Wing Building for an in-depth discussion on embedding data analytics into accounting and business courses. Like in the webinar, he emphasised the growing importance of data-driven insights and the power of hands-on learning to help develop career-ready skills. He demonstrated his approach with numerous live examples, to show attendees how he integrates labs in Excel, Tableau, Power BI, and using Gen AI tools like ChatGPT in to his classes. Attendees had the opportunity to ask questions and share their experiences also.
A huge thank you to @Matthew Grosse and the team at UTS for making this incredible event possible.
These events wouldn’t have been possible without the support and expertise of so many incredible people. Thank you all involved.
And thank you to @Vern Richardson for making the trip to Sydney to share your expertise in person. Your passion, boundless enthusiasm, and generosity in sharing your teaching experiences are truly inspiring.
