McGraw Hill Australia Return Policy

McGraw Hill Education will accept up to 15% of the original invoiced quantity as a Return in the period after books have been held for 3 months and before they have been held for 12 months and within 15% returns cap.

An individual’s returns eligibility is 30 days from the date of invoice.

Prior permission must be obtained BEFORE returning books. Return requests will need to be assessed and then authorized within 14 days from request being received by McGraw Hill customer service team.

Books returned without authorisation will be returned at customer's expense.

Returns request must state precisely the reason for return. 

Returns

All books must be held for more than 3 months and less than 12 months. All returns except for no fault, damage or misbound is at the customer's expense.

All requests for returns should be emailed/faxed to customer service and quote ISBN's, invoice numbers and date of invoice. All this information must be supplied, or claim will be returned as invalid for processing.

McGraw-Hill accepts no responsibility for returns lost in transit. A POD will be required to prove delivery into our warehouse before credit is processed. This must detail weight and carton quantities as well as McGraw Hill returns authorisation number.

Unauthorised books will be returned at the customer's expense.

Condition of Returned Products

Books must be in a MINT condition. Shop soiled books, books with price or customer's name, stickers, visible security tags, stamps, or books in an unsaleable condition will not be accepted. They will be returned at the customer's expense.

Products that are deemed 'packages' (shrink-wrapped packages and kits) will only be accepted for credit if they are returned in their original, unopened packaging.

Incomplete packages or kits will not be accepted for credit and will be returned at the customer's expense.

 

Return Instructions

After receiving the Returns Authorisation label from Customer Service, adhere label to each box. 

Each label is to be completed in full with the following details:

1. Total number of cartons.

2. Carton must be numbered to indicate the total number of cartons in the shipment (e.g. '1 of 3', '2 of 3', '3 of 3').

3. Your address and a contact phone number.

4. Consignment numbers which are provided by the courier company.

5. Your paperwork and a copy of the Return Authorisation should be placed in box 1 of the return.

6. Each Return Authorisation must be sent in a separate set of boxes – they must not be mixed.

7. Ensure the return is sent via a courier (of your choice, at your cost) to the address on the returns label. The courier should be able to supply a Proof of Delivery (POD) including carton quantities and weight. McGraw Hill Australia will not accept responsibility for return claims if a POD cannot be supplied.

Return Authorisations are valid for 21 working days from the RA date.

Product Supplied in Error

Oversupplies or short supplies must be reported to the customer service team within 14 days of goods receipt. Product supplied in error may be returned subject to being in a saleable condition.

Damage & Misbound Return Policy

Damaged in Transit: Claims must be submitted within 7 days of receipt. When requesting credit for damaged goods, please supply details in writing of the damage and its apparent cause. ISBN's and invoice numbers must be quoted at time of notification. Customer Service will email back authorisation to return damaged goods with instructions on what and where to return.

Misbound Books: Claims must be submitted within 6 months of invoice date. Email or fax request to return to Customer Service detailing that book is misbound. Customer Service will then email authorisation to return book.

Freight Costs: McGraw Hill accepts freight costs for Damage and Misbound returns providing they are returned by our nominated carrier detailed on the Return Authorisation.

All goods authorised for return must reach our warehouse within 21 days from the date of authorisation.
